'Purely by accident I discovered Pilates and since then, I now live a pain-free lifestyle of which I never thought would be possible – all thanks to Pilates.’

Emma took up Pilates in 2003, while living on Vancouver Island and could not believe the changes it made to the health of her own back and general well-being. After many years working in the pharmaceutical industry, Emma decided to change career and train to teach Pilates.

‘I have been practising my own Pilates for over 10 years now. Following a skiing accident in my early 20s, where I crushed two spinal vertebrae, I found myself in constant pain by my late 20s. Purely by accident I discovered Pilates while living on Vancouver Island and since then, I now live a pain-free lifestyle of which I never thought would be possible – all thanks to Pilates.’

Emma hopes to eventually combine her Pilates teaching with her other passion in life, horse-riding and is currently training with Mary Wanless to be a Ride with Your Mind Biomechanics Coach, but is not an accredited teacher of her method, yet!
